Carrots are great! They are crunchy sweet and loaded with vitamins but can they really help you see ๐ better ?
Carrots are packed full of nutrients called beta-carotene which our body converts into Vitamin A. Vitamin A is great for eyes as it can help prevent cataracts and support normal functoning of eyes. The thing is carrot are not the only vegetables that are full of vitamin A other vegetables like tomatoes, beats, leafy vegetables. So there is really nothing exclusively benificial about eating carrots to support healthy eyes and while vitamin A maybe good for our eyes overall but it cant correct or improve your vision specifically i.e it can’t change how in or out of focus certain things appear in your line of sight if you are near of far sighted eating all the carrots in the world isen’t going to get you any closer to 20/20 so put your glasses back on because this health myth is false!

So hereโs the true part of the myth: If you want to maintain normal eye health, youโve got to get enough vitamin A, and carrots are a perfectly good source.
But if you donโt have a vitamin A deficiency, and your vision is already healthy, stuffing your face with carrots โ or any other source of the vitamin โ wonโt lead to superhuman eyeball powers!
