Reading π is great! reading goes well beyond books these days from laptops π» and tables to cellphones π± and most of the times we are told at one point of another,”don’t read in the dark you are ruining your eyes π and you’ll end up with glasses π ” So does reading in low light really damage your eyes ?
whats the truth about reading in full light Do we need to make sure that we only read in full light or we simply being a bit neurotic for no good reason. as it turns out we are being neurotic! but don’t feel bad we aren’t alone, A little while ago the idea that dim light ruins our eye sight was named one of the 7 medical myths that even doctors are most likely to believe! The truth is while you are most comfortable reading in good light there is no scientific evidence that reading in dim light causes any permanent damage. The most likely outcome of reading in dim light is temporary eye strain ,the lack of light causes your pupils to dilate and and the increased effort to adjust for focus will likely make your eyes feel tired.

There is no need to put down that book in dim light but to avoid eye strain keep blinking and choose a book with short chapters ! As if this myth were true then all our ancestors who began reading back when there was no electricity would have suffered from some macular degeneration.
